The Philadelphia Phillies beat the LA Dodgers 5-1 last night, winning their sixth pennant and advancing to the World Series for the first time in 15 years. The Phillies have only won one World Series in their 126 year franchise history. Philly needs a championship, It can be painful being a Philly sports fan at times. We havn’t seen a celebration since 1983 with the 76ers when they had Moses Malone and Maurice Cheeks. Kind of makes the Philly curse seam believable, especially with the way things always pan out for the Eagles. I hope the Phills can pull it off and end all this. The first game is Oct 22 against the winner of the Red Socks & Tampa Bay Rays.
I am really digging the cover and suporting type treatments. Pentagram does it again, redesigning The Atlantic. Check out their blog where they have a nice write up with an insight into their process.
Middle row second guy in from the right.
Apparently no one else seen this so I had to go back and rewatch it to make sure I wasn’t seeing things, I wasn’t.
I thought for sure they would not cut back to that camera angle, or a producer would notice and wake him up, I was wrong.
In his defense, I usually can’t sit still without doing something for more than 15 mins without falling asleep. None the less, pretty funny.
Be sure to check out some of the great work from Stefan Bucher at his blog where he has videos of over 200 monsters drawn in very unique ways all upside down! Pretty Impressive stuff.
Debbie Millman did a great interview with Stefan on her show Design Matters which can be found here or on iTunes. If you are unfamiliar with her talk show, and you like anything on this site, you are in for a treat.
