When people are shut in a subway carriage they look for something to do during their journey. They read the paper, listen to music or brood on something unpleasant said to them at work. Antonio Jorge Gongalves prefers to draw the other people. He has traveled around the world drawing interesting commuters creating a great body of work, which he has put together on his website.



Antonio Jorge Gongalves lives in Lisbon and works primarily as a comic strip artist and illustrator. He has published 5 books in Portugal and several shirt stories in Spain, France and Italy. His work also Involves public art projects, improvisation performances and stage design.
