Remembering Lou Dorfsman
Lou Dorfsman, Creative Director for all things CBS for over 40 years died Wednesday in Roslyn NY at the age of 90 due to congestive heart failure. Dorfman has been in the design news a lot recently for the ongoing restoration project of his famous Gastrotypographicalassemblage wall which once lived in the CBS cafeteria. The Center for Design Study has assumed responsibility for the Wall’s preservation, including its restoration, maintenance and exhibition. More about Dorfsman can be found here & here

Vignelli updates his 1972 NYC subway Map
Massimo Vignelli’s 1972 New York subway map was hailed as an instant graphic design classic. Now, in addition to updating his famous diagram, Vignelli has signed 500 limited-edition prints available exclusively through Men’s Vogue.
